Hi Friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful week. And if it was terrible, I hope it gets better. Or that you get a little bit of reprieve. Or that you find a little bit of peace between now and Monday.

It’s raining here in New York, and the rain always makes me a little moody. My sister-in-law loves rainy, cozy days, but I am forever a child of sunshine. Still, I’m trying to reframe my thought process, and embrace the coziness,a nd the slowness that comes with rain.

Sometimes that’s easier said than done, but alas, I digress.

Here’s what’s brought my loved ones and me joy this week:

  1. A few casting announcements have gone out for Moms’ Night Out: The Concert Series, and I’m just thrilled about how this volume is shaping up! If you have no idea what I’m talking about, allow me to explain: Moms’ Night Out: The Concert Series is a cabaret series I created and produce that gathers mamas in show business (television, film, theatre, performance) for an evening of storytelling and song. It is by far one of my favorite things to produce, and our next show is on April 18th at The Green Room 42. You can learn more about the series here, and buy your tickets by clicking this link.

  2. I finally finished Book Lovers by Emily Henry, and I loved it. I have not read all of her books (yet), but I have read Happy Place and Beach Read, and Great Big Beautiful Life is currently in my TBR pile. I just think she’s the Nora Ephron of our generation. She encapsulates the complexity of life and humanity in her characters and her stories, and you find yourself rooting for them as if they were your very own pals. While Book Lovers is about a cuthroat literary agent (Nora) and how she finds her way to a more balanced life, the heartbeat of the book is very much centered around her relationship with her sister, Libby. It’s like the Frozen of romance novels — but it’s a little steamy, too. 10/10 would recommend.

  3. My sister-in-law gifted my son a copy of The Complete Tales of Winnie the Pooh at his first birthday party. We have finally started reading a little chapter each night, and he LOVES it! It’s a beautiful gift and a beautiful book to have on any family bookshelf. Get your copy here.
