Five things that are worth it - millennial mom edition
Hi Friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful week. We’ve had some crazy weather in these parts, but I’m currently writing to you from my in-laws’ deck, where there are blue skies and sunshine, and I just saw a hummingbird dance in my father-in-law’s garden.
Life is good.
But if life has you a little down lately, if you’re feeling all doom and gloom when you read the news lately (I get that), I hope you find the time to catch your breath. To regroup. To figure out where you want to go next when you remember how to keep putting foot in front of the other.

There’s a silly little trend going on Instagram (or maybe it started on TikTok) about five things that are worth the money. I love how everyone’s doing their own take on it, so here’s my contribution to it all.
Five things that are worth the money — millennial motherhood edition:
Travel. I am gearing up for a big trip to Walt Disney World with my family, and I cannot WAIT. But travel doesn’t always have to be about Disney, as there is a great, big, beautiful world to see out there! Both my husband and I love to travel, and way before we were married, we made a promise to one another that we would make travel a value in our household — even after we had kids, and so far, we’re doing a great job. I know we live in a digital world, but my brain will always be part analog. Enter — the Simplified Planner from Emily Ley + Team Simplified. It is, and will always be, my favorite paper planner. I have been using them for over a decade, and not only do I love the brand quality, but I love the heart of the company. I love how they give back. I love how they stand up for what matters most. I love how they continue to try to make life a little easier for their customers, too. When my son turned one, I bought him the Block Set from Lovevery, and four years later, it’s still worth the money! My son loves it, his friends love it, my nieces and nephews love it, and it’s comforting to know that the paint and wood are both nontoxic and safe for little hands.
